Robert Griffith

Robert L Griffith, 79, died October 12, 1998 at the Washington State Veterans Home, Retsil.  He was born October 2, 1919 on Bainbridge Island to Thomas & Lilly Griffith.  He attended South Kitsap Schools and served in the Army/Airforce during World War II.  He retired in 1984 as an Evergreen Worker.He was a member of VFW Post 5372 and the 'Poggy' Club of Gorst.He is survived by son Stanley Griffith of Port Orchard; daughter Barbara Goldsmith of Seattle; brother Chester Griffith of Belfair; sisters Virginia Hinds & Margaret O'Donnell of Bremerton, Lilly Kelley of Clarkston, and Esther May of Kent; and 5 Grandchildren.A Memorial Service will be October 16, 1998 at 2:00 PM at Rill Chapel, Port Orchard.
