Born in Wyandotte Michigan to Albert and Ester Herring
Bob began his adult years serving his country when he joined the Navy and proudly served for 27 years. He eventually moved to Oregon where he met his Wife Karleen.
Once he retired from active duty Bob went to work at a paper mill but was laid off. He packed up the family and moved to Bremerton Washington where he began working at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard as an outside machinist. He worked there for 25 years, retiring in 1983.
Bob was very proud of his family and loved serving at his local church and visiting residents at a local rest home.
Bob also had a love for pie. His favorite being strawberry-rhubarb, which he very proudly grew in his backyard garden.
Preceded in death by: His Wife, Karleen
Survived by: His 2 daughters, Alexzandra and Deanna. His 3 Grand Children, Jamie, Jeremy and Michelle, His 2 Great Grandchildren, Anthony and Kodi, and 1 Great Great Grandchild Avalynn
