Robert "Bob" Mayberry died August 8, 2002 in Bremerton, Washington. He was 69.He was born August 18, 1932 in Bay Ridge, Maryland to James and Ruth (Barnhart) Mayberry.He graduated from Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Springs, Maryland in 1951; and, attended Olympic College in Bremerton, Washington.He married Patricia A. May November 18, 1961 at Hampton, Virginia."Bob" was U.S. Navy (RET) and served from 1951 to 1971 - retiring in 1971. He was a Chief Torpedoman.He worked with the Department of Defense at Keyport for 22 years. He was also owner/operator of Pat's Little Red Barn Restaurant with his wife in Belfair, Washington for 15 years.He enjoyed gardening (Master Gardener), traveling, reading and crossword puzzles.He is survived by his wife Patricia, son Grant "Tony" Mayberry - U.S. Army in Germany, daughters Kim Nystrom and Zada Zulick both of Belfair, Washington, brothers Grant Mayberry of Maryland and Roger Huff of Riverside, California. He also is survived by 3 grandchildren - Robert, Michael and Connor Nystrom of Belfair, Washington. He was preceded in death by his sister Ann Burgess.Graveside Services will be held at Twin Firs Cemetery in Belfair, Washington August 12, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the family home in Belfair following the graveside service.Memorial Donations (in lieu of flowers) may be made to:Olympic Peninsula Kidney Center2740 Clare AvenueBremerton, WA 98310
