Robert Price

Robert L. Price, 61 of Port Orchard, Washington died at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton on January 21, 2000.  He was born May 7, 1938 in Boise, Idaho to Frank & Ruby (Peterman) Price.  He was raised in Bremerton, Washington graduating from Bremerton High School in 1956.  Robert married Carolyn L. Mahan on May 13, 1960 in Bremerton.Mr. Price was the owner of the Westbay Auto Parts in Port Orchard for 39 years.  He was a past president of the Chamber of Commerce, Automotive Engine Rebuilders Assocation (AERA), Automotive Service Industry Association (ASIA), Washington Automotive Wholesalers Association Board of Directors, Parts Plus National Jobber Council, Citizens for Quality Education, Vocational Technical Board, 1973 Port Orchard Man of the Year, Helpline Board of directors, and sponsor of many community events and clubs.Surviving are his wife; son Ken Price of Port Orchard; daughters Carrie LeCompte, Debra Tierney, and Ginger Hall, all of Port Orchard; grandchildren Lauren, Lynnsey, Shelly, Nick, Ryan, Robert, Ashlee, Stephen, MacKenzie, and Ryan.Visitation and a reception will be at Rill Chapel on Thursday, January 27, 2000 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.  Funeral Service at Port Orchard Church of the Nazarene at 1:30pm on January 28, 2000.  Interment will be at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard.  Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the South Kitsap helpline.
