Robert Sylvester

Robert E. Sylvester, 84, died at home in Port Orchard on May 16, 2012.  He was born February 22, 1928 in Olympia, WA to Clarence & Thelma (Dobbs) Sylvester.  He married Mildred Harris on June 4, 1970 in Port Orchard and she preceded him in death in 2001. Robert worked as a Sheetmetal Worker at PSNS in Bremerton and also served in the U.S. Navy.  He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Surviving are son Randy Sylvester of Mountain View, AR; daughters Cheryl Larson & Cindy Hentz, both of Port Orchard; brothers Dennis (Mikey) Sylvester, Dale (Joy) Sylvester & Jim Hill; sisters Gail (John) Kelcher, Nancy Gage & Shirley (Bob) Charleston; grandchildren Don Larson, Jaime Wainwright, Tanya Delucia, Jesse Hentz & Jeff Hentz, Ayla, Christina & Josuah Sylvester; great-grandchildren Jeff, Jr & Angel Hentz, Cody Ryan & Sydney May Wainwright & Andreas Larson. Memorial service at 11:00 am on May 24, 2012 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Hoover in Port Orchard.  Donations to Alzheimers Association at www.alz.or/join_the_cause_donate.asp .
