Robert E. "Emo" Weishaar of Belfair, Washington died of natural causes at his home on June 28, 2004. He was 60. He was born in Renton, Washington on May 27, 1944 to Eugene and Miriam (McElhaney) Weishaar . He graduated from Rainier Beach High School in Seattle, Washington in 1962; and, also graduated from Cal Poly in San Louis Obispo, California in 1966. He married Nancy Roaine (Nehl) Weishaar October 22, 1983 in Edmonds, Washington. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 - 1967 - attaining rank of Radarman 3rd class (E-4). He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Vietnam). Robert was an artist and poet for 50 years. He was a member of the USS Oriskany Reunion Association; and, enjoyed family and friends. Robert was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church of Belfair, Washington. He is survived by his wife - Nancy Weishaar of the Belfair, Washington family home; his father - Eugene Weishaar of Pacific Beach, Washington; sons - Robert John Nielsen of Marysville, Washington, Allen Lee Weishaar of Belfair, Washington; daughters - Angela Dawn Ryan of Kirkland, Washington, Julia Kathleen Fisher of Gig Harbor, Washington; sisters - Tish Johnson of Seattle, Washington, Brenda Wentworth of Hoquiam, Washington, Kathleen Whitmore of Seattle, Washington and Miriam Groesse of Pacific Beach, Washington; 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brother - William Thomas Weishaar in 1971. A funeral service will be held at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Belfair, Washington on July 3, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to: Oriskany Museum P.O.
