Born in Chesterville, Illinois grew up farming, play baseball and hunting in Tuscola, Ill. He followed in his father foot steps in the US Navy where he served in the Korea, Cold War and Vietnam. The USS Missouri brought him to Bremerton, PSNS for dry dock in 1954 and he met the love of his life Patricia on his 21st birthday. They enjoyed the Navy life traveling to Illinois to California, once retired from Navy this brought him back to Washington State where he served another 23 years in civil service. Living in Port Orchard for 46 years with his beloved wife of 60 years, Patricia who passed away in 2014 and survived by two daughters Hazel, Linda and three grand kids Jason, Jeremy and Cassandra and three great grand kids. We are very proud of our father and mother hope they are enjoying fishing together in heaven we love and miss you both. Along with half brother Timathy. Dad was very proud to serve his country and help other DAV members.
