Robert Zehnder

Robert John Zehnder, 85, died at home in Gig Harbor, WA on December 21, 2009. He was born January 14, 1924 in Montesano, WA to Stephen & Sophia (Bricker) Zehnder.  Robert worked for 33 years as an Electrical Line Foreman for Puget Power, retiring in 1986. He was a Union Representative for Local 77 IBEW. He also served in the Merchant Marines from 1942 to 1946 and was recalled from 1950 to 1952.   Robert loved hunting and fishing and was an avid reader. Surviving are sons Robert R (Kathy) Zehnder of Wasilla, AK & Matthew S. Zehnder of Olympia, WA; daughters Susan Zehnder Janes of Port Orchard & Nancy C. Zehnder of Sumner, WA; 4 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. No services are planned at this time.
