Robert Kaye Martin of Port Orchard, Washington died January 4, 2005 at Harrison memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington. She was 81. She was born February 24, 1923 in Evanston, Wyoming to Robert and Mabel (Dearden) Homer. She married Eugene M. Martin May 6, 1950 in The Dalles, Oregon. Roberta graduated from Rawlins High School in Rawlins, Wyoming in 1940; and attended St. Patrick's Hospital School of Nursing in Missoula, Montana in 1945. She worked as a Registered Nurse - formerly employed with Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, Mary Bridge Hospital in Tacoma, Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane and various local nursing homes. She retired in 1985 after 43 years. She enjoyed spending winters in Brenda, Arizona, scrap booking family photos, drawing, roses, collecting angel figurines and most of all spending time with her family. Roberta was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Southworth Ward. She is survived by husband - Eugene M. Martin of the Port Orchard, Washington family home; sons - Jerry Martin (& companion Kami Kyle) of Port Orchard, Washington, Duane Martin (& wife, Sandi) of Puyallup, Washington; daughters - Rogene Clements (& husband, Mike) of Sacramento, California, Cheryl Martin (& companion, Lisa Paea) of Seattle, Washington, Ann Perkins (& husband, Dennis) of Port Orchard, Washington, Pamela Martin (& companion, Pete Loch) of Port Orchard, Washington; 11 grandchildren (Jaime Martin, Kerry Martin, Kenny Martin, Angela Latapu, Tom Clements, Melanie Miller, Amy Miller, G' Anna Gordy, Matt Gordy, Kristen Martin, Michael Martin); 6 great-grandchildren (Chandler Gordy, Ashley Anderson, Brianna Anderson, David Latapu, Maikoto Latapu, Makeila Latapu, and two little anges on the way). Roberta was preceded in death by: sisters - Joy Russell, June Thomas; brothers - Robert Homer and Larry Homer. Viewing will be held at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, Washington on Friday, January 7, 2005 from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. Memorial Donations may be made to favorite charity.
