Robinson Grant Robinson died of cancer March 10, 2003 at his Port Orchard, Washington home. He was 65.He was born February 6, 1938 in Canfield Arkansas to Mr. Green(first name not known)and Bernice Robinson.He graduated from Emanuel Arts High School in Los Angeles, California in 1955 and from Olympic College of Bremerton, Washington in 1984.Robinson married Sharon Lynn (Izett) January 20, 1978 in Bremerton, Washington.He served in the U.S. Navy from June, 1955 to April 1976. He attained rank of E-6, EM1 and received the Viet Nam Service Medal. Robinson served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years.He worked with the Kitsap County Road Department in the sign shop for 23 years.Robinson was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Eagles, Holly Ridge Board of Directors, Kitsap County Public Employees Credit Union Board of Directors, American Legion, Gold Wing Road Riders Association, Washington State Motorcycle Safety Instructor, volunteer for Washington State Parks. He enjoyed fishing, camping, tinkering and collecting, boating.He was a member of Word of Life Fellowship Church in Bremerton.Robinson is survived by his wife, Sharon, of their Port Orchard, Washington home; son - Skip (and wife, Jan) of Port Orchard; daughters - Sharmy (and husband, Steve) DeCoy of Port Orchard; Claudia Bernice Robinson of Tacoma; LaDonna DeLane Robinson of Chowchilla, California; Maggie Hartsfield of Texarkana, Texas; Ella Hartsfield of Tacoma; brother - Sonny Hartsfield of Los Angeles, California; 11 grandchildren (Amanda, Ebonne, Elecia, Marcus, Nathan, Brian, Kyle, Donya, Catrell, Keron, Kornel).A memorial service will be held at Rill Chapel of Port Orchard, Washington on Monday, March 17, 2003 at 11:00 a.m.
