Roland R. Boink

Roland R. Boink, 84, died at his residence in Port Orchard, WA on March 19, 1999.  He was born in Schnectady, New York September 6, 1914 to Herman & Mildred (Gardner) Boink and was raised in Scotia, New York graduating from Scotia High School in 1933.  He married Thelma (Thompson) Boink in Las Vegas on April 3, 1943. Mr. Boink was a Flight Engineer on B-29's during World War II with the Army Air Corps.  He was about to receive a 50 year pin as an Electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.  Roland was a member of VFW Post 2669. Surviving are his wife; son Raymond Boink of Port Orchard; daughter Pamela Hodges of Port Orchard; and grandchildren Christoper Boink, Ryan Boink, and Athena Hodges. Private Family Services are planned.  Inurnment will be at Fraola Cemetery in Port Orchard.
