Ronald William Minton

Ronald William Minton, 78, born on April 9, 1937 in Bremerton Washington to William and Agnes (Matson) Minton. Preceded in death by his wife, Thora “Terry” Minton, his parents and a step-daughter, Gayle Ashe. Survived by half-sister, Janis Compton of Ralston, NE, stepsons David “Pete” Schauer, Jesse Schauer and Joel “Joe” Schauer, Sr., all of Port Orchard; stepdaughters Mary “Diane” Grove, of La Plata, MD, Michele Adams of Bremerton, and Shaun Tobert of Port Orchard; a niece and nephew, numerous, grandchildren, cousins and friends. Graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1955. Served in the Army from May 1956 to May 1958. Member of Local #699 Sprinkler Fitters Union in excess of 45 years. Enjoyed fishing, restoring vintage cars and loved NASCAR. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or charity of your choice. A Memorial service will be announced by the family at a later date.
