Ronald T. Stroud, 73, of Port Orchard, died Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at Tacoma General Hospital. He was born December 5, 1934 at St. Helen's, Oregon to Maurice and Marjorie (Conway) Stroud. Ronald attended St. Helen's High School. He served in the United States Navy from 1953 to 1955 achieving the rank of E-3. He married Jacqueline Lamore in Hartford, Connecticut on November 12, 1954. Ronald worked as a General Contractor in construction for 30 years retiring in 1986. He owned and operated the Airport Diner at Bremerton National Airport and Down East Fish and Chips in Silverdale, Port Orchard and Gig Harbor for 20 years. He was a member of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church and enjoyed outdoor activities. He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Stroud. He is survived by his loving wife Jacqueline; sons David Stroud (Terri) of Ellensburg, Dean Stroud (Holly) of Gig Harbor, Steve Stroud of Port Orchard; daughter Holly Gualco (Benjie) of Port Orchard; brother Jack Stroud (Marilyn) of The Dalles, Oregon; sister Alice Jean Hoffman (Jerry) of Medford, Oregon and 10 grandchildren Luke, Logan, Garrett, Zachary, Jake, Hunter and Alex Stroud, Jacqueline Morin, Heather and Lacey Gualco. Mass for Ronald will be Saturday, May 31 at 12:00 PM at St. Gabriel's in Port Orchard.
