Ronald Zach

Ronald J. Zach died January 16, 2003 at St. Joseph Hospital in Tacoma, Washington. He was 70.He was born March 8, 1932 in Glidden, Wisconsin to Anton and Ann (Bauer) Zach.He married Elfie (Jones) Zach December 20, 1985 in Bremerton, Washington.Ronald graduated from high school. He also graduated from Clover Park Community College of Tacoma, Washington in 1999.He was U.S. Navy Retired; and, had served from 1949 to 1974. He attained the rank of Chief Petty Officer.Ronald worked out of Bangor and Puget Sound Naval Station for 20 years as a D.C. Marine Electrician.Most recently - and for the last four years - he was Chief Electrician in the Merchant Marines.Ronald is survived by his wife, Elfie (Jones) Zach of the family home in Bremerton, Washington; daughters - Sandy Miller (and husband Roger) of Lucedale, Mississippi, Jennifer Rickmar (and husband Ronald) of Auburn, Washington, Debbie Robinson (and husband Shawn) of Port Orchard, Washington; sons - Michael Zach and Richard Cantu (and wife Jennifer) - all of Bremerton, Washington; brother - Ardel Zach of Estacada, Oregon; sisters - Bev Straetz of Glidden, Wisconsin and Judy Adams of Aloha, Oregon; grandchildren (12): David Robinson, Adam Robinson, Derik Robinson, Tiffany Miller, Samuel Rickmar, Benjamin Rickmar, Zachary Cantu, Hunter Cantu, Tyler Sims, Ramie Sims, Jamie Fannie and Joshua Sims.A celebration of life memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard, Washington.Memorial donations may be made to:Disabled American Veterans2815 BurwellBremerton, WA 98310
