Rosa Leon-Guerrero Sablan

Rosa Leon Guerrero Sablan, 74, departed her earthly home to join the Lord on November 11, 2014...2 Corinthians 5:1 "For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." and Isaiah 41:10 "Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."

Rosa (also known as Chai) was born in Leyang, Barrigada Guam on August 26, 1940 to the late Juan and Rosa Leon Guerrero. She married Elias Sablan on December 28, 1963 and devoted her entire life to taking care of her family. Rosa was a devout Catholic and servant of the Lord. There was no limit to the love and dedication she had for her family. She was a beautiful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening, and going to the casino. She was very traditional, loved her culture, and spent much of her life teaching her children all that she knew. She was a strong and independent woman. We will always remember her strength, love of life, and unconditional love for her family. She will live on forever in our hearts. Her spirit, grace, and radiance will continue to live on in each of us.

Great grandchildren: Roman Sablan, Nicholas Guerrero, Kailanie Guerrero, Keanu Guerrero, Alexis Guerrero, Janika Gaona, LJ Gaona, Athena Gaona, Alayna Applegate, and AriyaApplegate.

She is also survived by her closest extended family Pat Quichocho; Claretta, Mike, and AnisciaWakita; Chris, Megumi, Koichi, Kohana, and Kahtai Castro; Boya, Lindsey, and Nola Quichocho; Frank Atoigue; Ann, Ray, Brandon, and Andrew Meim; Trish, Dennis, Josaiah, and Carmen Roseta.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Pito and Johnnie Leon Guerrero, 3 sisters, Carmen Manglona, Juanita Salas, and Teresita Cruz. She is survived by her sister Maria (George) Duenas, brother Felix Leon Guerrero, sisters-in-law Carmen Leon Guerrero and sister-in-law Virginia Leon Guerrero. She is survived by her brothers-in-laws Danny (Terry) Sablan and Tony (Frances) Sablan and sisters-in-laws Dorothy Dowd and Sylvia Sablan. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and God children, Mali’s and Pare's all whom she loved. Though we mourn her death and miss her dearly, we also celebrate her new and everlasting life in Heaven. She will look upon us and watch us each day as our wonderful guardian Angel.

You taught us love and how to fight, you gave us strength, you gave us might.
A stronger person would be hard to find, and in your heart, you were always kind.
You fought for us all in one way or another, not just as a wife not just as a mother.
For all of us you gave your best, now the time has come for you to rest.
So go in peace, you've earned your sleep, your love in our hearts, we'll eternally keep.
