Rose E. Wood, 89, of Southworth went to be with Jesus February 21, 2014 in Bremerton, WA.

Rose Wood lived for the Lord and her family.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister & aunt and served her church and community with great compassion.
Rose worked first as a messenger, then in the Riggers Office in the Bremerton Navy Yard. In September of 1945 she was moved up to the first building to work with huge computers, there she met her husband, Wilmar Wood. By May 1946 they were married. A very special man, he always remembered and brought her a card and flowers each month on their anniversary day. She was his Honey and he, her Dear.
She liked to sing, play the piano, sew, crochet, read, bake, cook, shop, eat, travel, word search puzzles, and most important read the bible and daily devotions. She played the violin and piano in the orchestra in Auburn at church. She also played the accordion. She sang in the Girls Glee club in High school and did a lot of solo, duo and trios throughout her life with friends, her sister Evelyn, and her daughters. Later in life she played the piano for church services for many years.
A beautiful, elegant women, Rose was known for her classy style. She was always put-together no matter the occasion, decidedly not leaving home unless she felt put-together.
An important life lesson she has passed down to her family: Be patient. Show love. Help people along the way that you see need help.
She considered Love to be one of life’s greatest gifts from above. Her most treasured possessions, her family. She has left behind a generation that will continue to live out her legacy of love and faith.
