Rosemary W. Dour, 75 of Port Orchard, died in Burien September 25, 2011. She was born March 29, 1936 in Mineola, NY to Edward & Helen (deYoung) Welsh. She graduated from St. Angela Hall Academy in Brooklyn, NY in 1954 and Eastern School for Physicians Aides in New York, NY in 1955. She married Paul A. Dour on March 26, 1955 in Garden City, NY. Rosemary worked for 7 years as a Physician’s Assistant in Long Island, NY. She also worked as a Secretary/Assistant in her husband’s engineering practice and was a homemaker who raised 3 children. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings, cooking, traveling, & the Seattle Mariners, especially spring training. She was a member of the Legion of Mary & Rosary Society in New York and Catholic Daughters. Surviving are husband Paul; sons Paul Edward, Kevin & Stephen (Susan) Dour; sisters Margaret Murphy, Joan O’Hara & Marilyn Held; grandchildren James Lingle, Devon Brosnahan & Gabrielle Dour; great-grandchildren Dominic Paul & Riley Nicole. Rosary at 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. Funeral Mass at 11:00 am on Friday, September 30, 2011 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard, with a Rosary at 10:30am. Burial will follow at 2:00 pm at Haven of Rest Cemetery in Gig Harbor.
