Roy L. Duffey died June 25, 2002 in Bremerton, WA. of cancer. He was 75.He was born January 12, 1927 in Orting, WA. to Lewis and Irene (Blake) Duffey.He married Margaret J. (Creaney) Duffey June 20, 1973 in Port Orchard, WA.He was a Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy and retired with 20 years.He was a machinist at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 8 years until receiving a Disability Retirement in 1972. He also worked as Stationary Engineer for 10 years for Washington State at Francis Haden Morgan and Western State Hospital.He enjoyed fishing and socializing at the Hi-Joy Bowling Alley in Port Orchard and All Star Lanes in Silverdale.He is survived by his wife Peggy Duffey of Port Orchard, WA., his mother Irene Duffey of Tacoma, WA., sons Jim and Bob Monahan of Port Orchard, WA., daughters Laurie (Monahan)Myers of Port Orchard, WA., Linda Albright of the Lewiston-Clarkston area, sisters Barbara Garrelts of Port Orchard, WA., Colleen Duffey and Louise Stegmiller of Gig Harbor WA., and LaVonne ("Hap") Sherrod of Mexico.Services will be held at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard, WA. on July 1, 2002 at 11:00 a.m.Donations may be made to:American Cancer SocietyKitsap UnitP.O.
