Ruby May

Ruby May, 81, died at Franciscan Health Center in Tacoma, Washington on January 28, 2001. She was born in McPherson, Kansas on December 5, 1919 to Abraham & Ida (Reich) Unruh. She graduated from Montezuma High School in Kansas in 1937. Ruby married John E. May on January 29, 1940 in Kansas. He preceded her in death in 1973.Mrs. May was a homemaker who enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. She also liked gardening.Surviving are sons John E. May of Germany, James E. May of Winnepeg, Canada, and Joseph E. May of Arlington, Washington; daughters Suzanne Wilson and Nancy Wall, both of Tacoma; brother Elmer Unruh of Montezuma of Kansas; sister Emma Voth of Garden City, Kansas; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by sister Lillie Voth.Funeral Service will be on Saturday, February 3, 2001 at 1:00pm at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard with visitation from 9:00am until service time. Interment will be at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard. Memorial donations may be made to Salvation Army, P.O. Box 886, Bremerton, WA 98310.
