Russell Kauffman

Russell Eugene Kauffman, 78, a resident of Port Orchard, died on June 14, 2008 in Bremerton. He was born in Glen Haven, Wisconsin on April 16, 1930 to John and Opal Kauffman. He courageously battled his illness of congestive heart failure and kidney failure.  He was a true farmer at heart, helping anyone with information on how to start raising live stock and birds. Russ was a chef, a ship fitter at PSNS and a veteran of the US Navy having served during the Korean Conflict. He had been a resident of Port Orchard since 1949.   He is survived by his beloved wife Mikki; sons Harold Kauffman, Howard Kauffman (Sharon), Laura Lee Angove and Laurine Burrer; former wife Arliss; stepdaughters Jo Ann Sigby, Ronda Nelson, Marcy Wirebaugh and Lisa Austin; granddaughters Jessica Moncrief, Jodi Lavern and Sara Austin; grandsons Greg, Jeff and Tim Linne, Ryan, Aaron and Jordan Angove; numerous nieces, nephews and great grandchildren whom he adored. Celebration of Life will be at Port Orchard Eagles on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 1:00 pm.
