Russell Sauer

Russell Dean Sauer, 84 of Bremerton, died on January 25, 2001 at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington. He was born on February 12, 1916 in Plainville, Kansas to William & Bertha (McFadden) Sauer. He graduated from Scott Community High School in Scott City, Kansas in 1934. Russell married Lois in 1957 and she preceded him in death in 1960.Mr. Sauer was an Electrician for 40 years, retiring in 1981. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. Russell was a member of the Bremerton Lions Club.He is survivied by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Lowell, Harold, Donald, and Garth; and two sisters Mary Bolding and Quila.Funeral Service will be at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard on Thursday, February 1, 2001 at 1:00pm with visitation prior to the service from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard.
