Ruth Carrier

Ruth LaVerne Carrier, 76, of Port Orchard, Washington died April 10, 2001 at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton. Ruth was born September 11, 1924 in Santa Paula, California to Ernest & Myrtle (Guthrie) Baker Sr.Ruth went to Santa Paula Union High School and graduated in 1942. She also attended Pacific Union College in Angwin, California where she graduated in 1946. She married Floyd E. Carrierin California in 1946. Floyd preceded her in death in 1965.Ruth worked as a Supervisor at Naval Torpedo Station at Keyport, Washington from 1966 until she retired in 1988. She was a member of The Business & Professional Womens Federal Managers Association.Surviving is a brother, Ernest Baker & niece Loretta Baker of Camarillo, California; and special companion Marjorie Bezona of Bremerton, Washington.Memorial services will be April 19, 2001 at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard with interment at Sunset Lane Cemetery.
