Ruth Comola, of Port Orchard, WA, formerly of Selma, CA, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2019. She was as blessed in death as she was in her very long and rich life. Born October 22, 1923 in Pharr, TX, Ruth is predeceased by her birth father, Orval Eby of Witchita, KS, her mother and beloved stepfather, Bess (Davis) and Herbert Hendricks, and her husband of 56 years, Nick Comola.
Ruth and Nick began their lives together in Southern California, and then moved to the mountain town of Truckee, CA where they raised their family. They spent their retirement years in the towns of Kingsburg and Selma, CA, until Nick passed away in 2004. Ruth spent the last 12 years living in Port Orchard, WA, independent until the end! Ruth will be remembered lovingly by the friends, family and fellow artists whose lives she touched.
What tribute could be eloquent enough to speak of the esteem, respect, love and pride with which we will hold your memory in our hearts, our beloved Mom, Grandmother, and Grandy? We have lost our matriarch and lodestar; you will be sorely missed.
