Ruth Phillips

Ruth Ann Phillips, 77 of Port Orchard, died at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton on December 4, 1999.  She was born November 3, 1922 in Aberdeen, South Dakota to John  A. & Ruth Elizabeth (Westlund) Black.  Ruth was raised in Harper, Washington and graduated from West Seattle High School in 1941.  She married Carl Phillips in Yuma, Arizona on June 17, 1944.  Mrs. Phillips was a homemaker and a member of Grace Bible Church in Port Orchard, Washington.Surviving are her husband; sons John of Seattle, Washington, Steven of Belfair, Washington and Robert of Hepzibah, Georgia; daughters Kerilyn Lemick of Chicago, Illinois and Ruth Watson of Belfair, Washington; sister Marion Allin of Tacoma; grandchildren Steven, Tracy, Shelly, Pamela, Mathew, and Linsay all of Belfair and Ashley of Chicago; and one great-grandchild, Gabriel.  She was preceded in death by her brother Robert Black and granddaughter Barbara.A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 1999 at 1:00 PM at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard.
