Ruth Walcott

In loving memory of Ruth E. Walcott, 93, who died on 10-29-10 at the home of her daughter, Patty Henderson of Port Orchard, WA. Ruth was the widow of Ray Walcott, they made their home in Waterbury & Wolcott, CT.  She was an excellent homemaker, and gave her children ample amounts of love, support, and freedom.  Ruth was born in Waterbury, CT on 9-14-17, daughter of Robert and Alice (Vaill) Eggleton. She is predeceased by her siblings: Robert, Dorothy, Charles, Alice, and Maude.  Ruth was a member of the First Methodist Church while in CT, and most recently of First Lutheran Church of Port Orchard, WA.  She was a past member of Chase’s Golf Club and Watertown Golf Club of CT, and Daytona Golf Club of FL.  She played golf well into her 80s.  She also enjoyed reading, doing crosswords, and watching golf on TV. She is survived by her children: Dr. William Walcott, (Linda), Donald Walcott, (Jackie), Linda Higginson, (Mark), and Patty Henderson, (Tom).  She loved her 9 grandchildren, and her 6 great-grandchildren.
