Ryan J Menees was born May 2, 1974 to Philip D Menees & Linda A Ambler at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton, WA. He attended schools in South Kitsap and graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1992. Ryan joined the Army after high school. After his discharge he attended Crawford's Nautical School then South Seattle Community College - in their ANP Program to become an - Airframe PowerPlant mechanic. He worked in the Marine Industry as an Engineer on Yachts and fishing boats. He made several Ocean trips & spent one season in Alaska on a King Crab boat. His passion was airplanes. He loved flying and being around anything airplane related. He spent most of his free time at Boeing Field & Apex Airport in Bremerton where he was encouraged by Dave Brophey the Airport mechanic. He loved classical music and was an avid reader. He married LaRisa DeYoung. They lived in Seattle for several years where he worked at Sea-Tac & at several Shipyards. He owned his own wooden boat and was a master craftsman with wood. Ryan's mother Linda Ambler preceded him in death in 2009. He is survived by his Father Philip D Menees, Step-mom Wanda Menees of Port Orchard, brother Philip D Menees Jr of Vancouver WA, Step-sister Michelle Wilcox of Bremerton & Step-brother Michael Clement of Port Orchard, his niece Madeline McElroy & her husband Kevin McElroy and their daughter Hazel currently living in Maryland where Kevin is serving in the Navy, & his nephew Jonathan Menees who is serving in the Army in Germany. Ryan was a brilliant and beautiful man that God chose to fly high with the angels where he is soaring and finally at peace.
