Sam C. Belcher, 85 of Port Orchard, Washington died in Seattle, Washington on October 18, 2005. He was born on September 16, 1920 in Waldley, Georgia to John Charles & Eva (Wise) Belcher. He married Beatrice A. Mox on December 14, 1955 in Port Orchard. Sam graduated from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington in 1975 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Sam worked in Plumbing and Heating. He also worked as a Sheetmetal Worker in construction. He served in the U.S. Navy as an E-3 from 1946 to 1948. He earned the American Area Ribbon and the Victory World War II Ribbon. Sam enjoyed raising Black Labs. Surviving are his wife Beatrice; son Lawrence J. Etter of Port Orchard; daughters Sharlene K. Roberts of Lancaster, New York, Sheri L. Harader of Port Orchard, and Teresa A. Brian of Chesaw, Washington; sister Bernice Saggus of Augusta, Georgia; grandchildren Stacie Roberts of Worthington, Ohio, Julianne Hamilton of Spokane, Washington, and Jennifer Knowles of Republic, Washington; great-grandchildren Nicole Knowles, Raine Knowles, Shadow Knowles, Dusty Hamilton, and Korie Hamilton.
