Sandra Lee Farrow, a longtime resident of Port Orchard passed away peacefully on Dec. 14th, 2023 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Gig Harbor. She was 77-years old. Sandra was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, homemaker, and joyous follower of Christ.
Sandra is survived by her 5 children (Allan, Kristen, Erin, Megan and Laura) and 3 grandchildren. Sandra grew up in Kent, WA., and loved attending Seafair and visiting her grandmother's house in Seattle for tea and cookies. She graduated in 1964 from Kent-Meridian High School, where she was editor of the paper. She moved to Colorado and earned a nursing certificate at Pikes Peak College. Sandra met her husband Peter while they were both serving in the US Air Force in Colorado Springs. They were married 53 years before Peter passed away in 2019. They spent many exciting years together raising 5 children and going on assignments, including seven years in Alaska. They spent their retired years in Port Orchard, and were both members of St. Gabriel Parish for over 30 years.
Sandra loved family first and foremost. She was proud of her children and devoted her life to being a mother. She enjoyed holidays and get-togethers, reading, learning, animals, gardening, trips (especially one to Ireland and a cruise to Alaska), researching family history, and watching her favorite British TV shows. She had the most generous heart, and was never without a sense of humor. She was a dedicated volunteer for the church in various roles; her favorite was teaching children about God.
Sandra’s soul lives on in the countless people she touched. May you fly with the other angels and saints around the throne of God, singing and praising him forever. You will be missed, but never forgotten.
There will be a memorial mass held for Sandra at St. Gabriel Church in Port Orchard on Friday, Jan. 12th 2024 at 11 a.m.
