Sandra L. Nunley

Sandra 'Sandi' L. Nunley, 56, died at her home in Port Orchard, Washington on March 20, 2000.  She was born in Boise, Idaho on September 21, 1943 to Robert H. & Ida (Shearer) Vail.  Sandi was raised in Portland, Oregon graduating from Cleveland High School in 1961.  She married Leo Nunley on December 31, 1966 in Sanford, Florida.Mrs. Nunley worked as a Security Assistant at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard from 1984 to 1999 when she retired.  She was a member of Glenwood Church of Christ and enjoyed RV traveling.Survivors include her husband Leo; father Robert Vail of Portland, OR., son Michael Nunley of Port Orchard; daughter Jenifer Short of Gresham, Oregon; sisters Connie Davison of Rhododeandron, Oregon and Linda MacMillan of Portland, Oregon; 2 grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren.Visitation will be at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard on Thursday & Friday, March 23rd and 24th from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2000 at 1:00 PM at Rill Chapel with interment at Rock Creek Cemetery in Duncan, Oklahoma.  Memorial Donations may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, 825 Northeast 13th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73104.
