Sharon Larson

January 3, 1934 — April 29, 2004

Sharon L. Larson of Port Orchard, Washington died at her family home on April 29, 2004 from Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. She was 70. She was born in Elma, Washington to Richard B. and Hazel E. (Thompson) King. Sharon graduated from Weatherwax High School in Aberdeen, Washington in 1952; and, attended Grays Harbor Jr. College in Aberdeen, Washington. She worked as Executive Secretary at Givens Elementary for 20 years - retiring in 1988. Sharon loved quilting; was the last charter member of West Sound Quilters Guild, Co-Chair of First National Quilt Show in Tacoma; was active in PTA - served as President for one year; was top female athlete in her graduating class. She is survived by her husband - Alfred Larson of the Port Orchard, Washington family home; sons - Rick A. Larson (& wife, Jody) of Whidbey Island, Washington, Dean J. Larson (& wife, Lori) of Forest Grove Oregon, Greg S. Larson (& wife, Patti) of Port Orchard, Washington; daughter - Diane Snell (& husband, Dennis) of Puyallup, Washington; sister - Carol Green (& husband, Bobby) of Aberdeen, Washington; 7 grandchildren (Chris Locke of Whidbey Island, Washington, Grant and Rhett Larson of Forest Grove, Oregon, Jessica and Ellie Larson of Port Orchard, Washington, Derek Snell of Tacoma, Washington, Dustin Snell of Puyallup. A Memorial Service will be held May 8, 2004 at noon at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. Memorial Donations may be made to: Hospice of Kitsap County P.O.
