Sheila Nordale

Sheila Maureen (Berry) Nordale passed suddenly on January 23, 2009 in Seattle and a bright light left us.  First a joyful wife, mother and grandmother, she gloried also in her roles as daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, friend, nurse and neighbor.   Born in Juneau, Alaska on January 13, 1935, she lived and had countless friends in Juneau, Soldotna, and Fairbanks and throughout Alaska and Washington.   She survived by her true love and husband of 51 years, James, her beloved children Meg, Molly, Jim and Dan and children-in-law Bob, Lisa and Misty, adored grandchildren Josh, Seth, Mike, Stefani, Katie, Beth, Nick, Emmi, Sam, Hanna, Grace, and Derek, dear siblings Jim, Anne, Kathleen, John, Bridget and Kerry as well as their spouses and children, and cherished sister-in-law Mary.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Joe and nephew Terry.   A rosary at 9:00 am and funeral Mass at 11:00 am will be said at St. Gabriel, Port Orchard on Friday, January 30.  In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations to the Greater Fairbanks Community Hospital Foundation, which provides the loving care she personified to all she encountered:  GFCHF, Inc.
