Shelia Fay Harries was born May 30, 1953 in Auburn, California to Lester M. and Doris M. (Law) Harries one of four children. She had a brother, David and two sisters Delores and Diana. She graduated from Placer High School and remained in California with her family until she moved to Washington in 1980.
She married Gary L. Miller and they had three children; two sons Jason, and Jay and a daughter Jeniece. Shelia loved her work in the food industries where she served in management and as a cook for Boeing, Retsil Veteran’s Home, and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie 2338. She was a soft and kindhearted person and everybody loved her.
She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino with her best friend Bobbie. Volunteering where needed and playing games with the family like ‘Farkle’ (AKA 10,000) and Pass the Pigs. Other favorite pastimes were camping, baking and cooking for friends and family, playing slot games, church and working on puzzles. Outside of all those things, her favorite places to spend time were either at home with family or at the Eagles. Green was her favorite color and she really liked roses and carnations.
She knew the Lord and near the end openly conveyed that “The good Lord is ready to take me home”. After a brave battle with cancer she went back into the hands of our Lord on August 3, 2024.
She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband (Gary Miller), and her son Jay Miller. She is survived by her significant other of 22 years, Glenn Boznick; son Jason, daughter Jeniece, brother David and sisters Diana and Delores. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
