Sheryl G Hunkin

Sheryl G. Hunkin passed into the arms of Jesus November 22,2021 after a 11-yr battle with several stages of cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tuiloua Joe Ilaoa Hunkin August 8,2003, her parents Leonard & Edith Britton, and her sister Joan. Sheryl is survived by her sister Sherry Gilbert (Leroy) her brother Dean Britton, her children & grandchildren; Luana Tupua-Hunkin (Fanua), [Talia, David, Vai, Tiana,] Uele Hunkin (Susie), [Abigail, Emily, Tuiloua (Abbey), Ariana,] Alan Hunkin (Kathi), [Jessica (Michael), Ethan, Jacob, Zach] and great-grandchildren Lily, Ailani & Luka.

Sheryl attended Christ’s Church in Federal Way, Port Orchard Presbyterian Church and Harper Evangelical Free Church. Sheryl enjoyed many years of Bible Study Fellowship and was a BSF Leader. Sheryl was a prayer warrior all of her life right up to her final days,

Sheryl grew up in Hettinger, North Dakota and Billings, Montana. Her Dad had a jewelry store, Britton’s Jewelers. Sheryl met her spouse in San Francisco, CA through a mutual friend. They were married Feb 1, 1966 and lived in South San Francisco, CA, San Mateo, CA and Port Orchard, WA. Joe worked & retired at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. Sheryl was a stay-at home Mom most of her life then worked at an Insurance Company when the kids were in high school. Sheryl is also survived by loving friends and church family at Christ’s Church where she had happy days of service and fellowship.

She will be remembered in a memorial service October 8, 2022 at Christ's Church, 941 S. Dash Point Rd., Federal Way, WA 98003 at 1:00 p.m.
