Shirley "Ann" Fischer, 70, of Port Orchard, WA, died August 13, 2005, at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, WA, of a heart attack. Ann was born March 12, 1935, in Columbus, GA, to Harry and Alice (Golden) Salter. She served in the United States Airforce from 1956 to 1957. Ann later worked for 15 years as a meat inspector with the US Department of Agriculture in California and Washington. Ann enjoyed playing pinochle online and sewing clothes for herself and family members. She bowled earlier in her life and always loved to read. Ann is survived by her son Gerald Gamm and his wife Angelita, of Naval Air Facility at Atsugi, Japan; daughter Regina Kilby, of Port Orchard, WA; brother Robert Salter and his wife Rosemarie, of Spanaway, WA; sister Peggy Cox, of Spanaway, WA; 5 grandchildren, Christopher Donahue, Renee Kilby, Madelaine Gamm, Maria Lynne Gamm, and Taylor Genaro Gamm; 1 great grandchild McKenzie Lynn Dillon-Donahue. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Bernard and Gerald Salter and her parents. Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, Attn: Memorials, 2120 1st Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109.
