Shirley Louise Hamrick, 70, of Port Orchard, WA, died February 7, 2002, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tacoma, WA.Shirley was born December 9, 1931, in Topeka, KS, to Elmer and Frances (Setser) Thompson. She graduated from Bremerton High School in Bremerton, WA, in 1948.On November 15, 1974, Shirley married Clinton Hamrick in Tacoma, WA.Shirley worked as a waitress with Poplars Restaurant in Silverdale, WA, and as a cook with the Victorian Tea Room in Port Orchard. She has been very active with her church singing in the First Christian Church choir and working with the Project 5000 food baskets for the community.Shirley is survived by her husband, Clinton, of Port Orchard; son, William Everist, of Port Orchard; step son, Clinton Hamrick, of Bremerton; daughters, Linda Hunter, of Port Orchard, and Kathi Dorow, of Tacoma; step daughters, Tuesdee Davies, of Allyn, WA, Mondee Montero, of Bremerton, and Sundee White, of Portland, OR; sister, Debbie Morgan, of Sherwood, OR; a special aunt, Ethel Madara, of Port Orchard; 14 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.A graveside service will be held at 1PM, Sunday, February 10, 2002, at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bremerton. A memorial service will be at 1PM, Wednesday, February 13, at First Christian Church in Port Orchard.
