Shirley Kooken

Shirley M. Kooken of Port Orchard, Washington died July 8, 2004 at her home. She was 48. She was born October 18, 1955 in Ulysses, Kansas to Wayne and Margie (Mulekey) Kooken. Shirley graduated from high school in Kansas in 1973. She worked as a material handler and small boat operator at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 10 years. Shirley enjoyed landscaping; loved dancing; she loved animals - especially horses; and, loved farms. She was a Christian. Shirley is survived by a companion, Harry Proctor, of Port Orchard; daughter - Sharon Vandegrift of Lacey, Washington; 3 grandchildren. Services will be Thursday, July 29, 2004, 1:00PM, at Port Orchard Church of Christ, 2585 Carr Ln SE, Port Orchard, WA 98366.
