Shirley Ann Wick, age 75, died May 15, 2003 in Seattle, WA. She was born February 8, 1928 in Webster City, IA to James and Anna (Lubbers) Slocum.Shirley graduated from East High School in Des Moines, IA in 1947. She married Lloyd Dean Wick on Jan. 1, 1953 in Des Moines, IA. Mrs. Wick was a homemaker. She enjoyed music, traveling in her motor home, golf, walking, singing, and playing marimba in nursing homes. She was a member of TOPS and Campers for Christ. Shirley is survived by her husband Lloyd of Port Orchard, WA., son David Wick of Beaverton, OR., daughters Julie Petersen of Redding, CA., and Debra Torrance of Silverdale, WA., sister Jean Allen of Prescott, IA., brother Dr. Robert Slocum of Dallas, TX., and her 7 grandchildren, Karen, David, Cindy, Crystal, Tiffany, Zachary, and Bethany. Visitation will be at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center on May 19, 2003 from 4:00p.m.-7:00p.m. Memorial services will be on May 20, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center. Interment will be at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard, WA., May 20, 2003 at 12:00 noon. Memorial donations may be made to World Vision, P.O. Box 78481, Tacoma, WA., 98481, 1-800-777-5777.
