Stanley Weinkauf

Stanley Arthur Weinkauf, 76, died at home in Port Orchard, Washington on July 13, 1999.  Stanley & his wife lived in Lakewood, California and spent the summers in Port Orchard.  He was born March 24, 1923 in Pipestone, Minnesota to Arthur F. & Margaret C. (Jepsen) Weinkauf.  He was raised in Pipeston graduating from Pipestone High School.  Stanley married Marion Anne Szabo at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York on March 9, 1946.Mr. Weinkauf was the best Ford mechanic in town retiring in 1985 after 36 years.  He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1947 spending the early years in the North Atlantic and the remainder in the Pacific aboard a submarine tender.  He was very proud of his Navy years.  Stanley was a member of the VFW in Lakewood, California and a crew reunion member of the USS Eurayle.Surviving are his wife; sons Darryl Mark Weinkauf of Port Orchard and David Stanley Weinkauf of Cerritos, California; daughter Adrienne Elizabeth Milton of Camarillo, California; brothers Arthur & James of South Dakota, Roger of Oregon, and Duane of Minnesota; sisters Esther Lee, Marjorie Heinz, Mary Lou Davids, Maxine Evans, and Margaret Gonnermann all of Minnesota, Joanne Olson of California, and Jeanette Diaz of Indianna; grandchildren Brooke & Danielle Milton of California, Madelyn & Skyler Weinkauf of Port Orchard, and Kaitlyn Weinkauf of Garden Grove, California.A private family gathering is planned.
