Stella Mckim

Stella "Louise" McKim, 64, died in Port Orchard, WA on March 23, 2008. She was born March 11, 1944 in Hillsboro, OH to Robert & Letha (Tumbleson) Miller. She graduated from Xenia High School in Xenia, OH in 1962 and Miami Jacobs Business School in Dayton, OH in 1964. She married Kerry A. McKim on March 25, 1967 in San Diego, CA. He preceded her in death in 2002. Louise worked for 15 years as Office Administrator for the Navy Exchange in San Diego and over 5 years as Office Admin Assistant for the church secretary at First Lutheran Community Church of Port Orchard. She also worked as a Bookkeeper for 4 years in Great Lakes, IL. Louise enjoyed camping, reading, cross-stitch & needle work, collecting rabbits, floral arranging, and volunteering at her church. She hosted over 20 exchange students from around the world. She was a member of First Lutheran Community Church of Port Orchard, a member of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans; and involved with Girl Scouts of America for over 20 years in OH, CA & IL. Surviving are son Kerry R. (Kathy) McKim of Santee, CA; daughter Sonya J. Elder of Port Orchard; mother Letha Miller of Tremont City, OH; brother Robert (Judy) Miller of Tremont City, OH; grandchildren Joshua Elder and Kayleigh & Kasey McKim; and special friends John Sampson & Sherry Dahlberg. Memorial Service 1:00 pm on March 31, 2008 at First Lutheran Community Church, 2483 Mitchell Rd SE in Port Orchard.
