Stephania Victoria Ann Duty

April 9, 1991 — October 5, 2021

Stephanie Victoria Ann was born in Bremerton, Washington on April 9, 1991, to Joel and Thelma (Benavidez) Day, the eldest of two children. She attended Orchard Heights Elementary and Marcus Whitman Jr High, then the family moved to Port Orchard where she was home schooled from 9th grade on through Abeka Christian Academy.

Stephania was a dedicated employee. She moved to Oklahoma for a while after she turned 18 and worked at Wendy’s where she would walk through the snow everyday to get to work. She was a hard worker, especially when cleaning homes, which was perhaps her favorite job. She was also a full-time mother to her youngest child, Kodee.

As a child Stephania played softball and was a standout pitcher, and at the age of 10, would often pitch no-hitter games. She was known for her drop-ball that many could not hit at that age.

Stephania loved holidays and especially looked forward to Christmas and Halloween. She enjoyed carving or painting pumpkins. Coloring was one of her favorite hobbies. Green was her favorite color. She also loved decorating, collecting and organizing. She collected coloring books, pens, knives, sunglasses and jewelry.

Stephania’s main mission was to raise her children as best she could. She loved spending time with her children, husband and family. She enjoyed family functions, BBQs and taking her kids to the park. She cherished her grandparents. She frequently spoke of her gratitude for them and for all they had done for her. She also loved her cat, Seiko.

Stephania loved music of many types but particularly listened to rap music, classic rock, old school hip hop and new age once she started dating Cody.

She passed away unexpectedly on October 5th Just a short while ago. She will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved her.

Stephania is survived by her husband, Cody Duty; her 3 children, Teagan, Sylas and Kodee; her parents, Joel and Thelma Day; and brother, Joel (Joey) Day Jr.
