Stephen Gail Foster

February 22, 1949 — September 28, 2016

Stephen G. Foster
2-22-49 to 9-28, 2016
Steve Foster passed away September 28, 2016 at Harrison Memorial, the same hospital he was born at
67 years ago.
He is survived by his wife Shirley (Wilder), a brother Don of Port Orchard, two sisters, Linda San Gregory (Tom) of Port Angeles and Harriett Robinson of Auburn, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by Floyd Foster (father), Harriet Foster (mother), Sandy Gurley Black (sister) and David Foster (brother).
He was a member of the Poulsbo Rotary Club and had sat on the board of Holly Ridge. His love of building and woodworking led him to spearhead and participate in numerous community projects in Poulsbo. Once he took something on it was full steam ahead!
He worked in several fields until taking a job with Honeywell, later Hughes, and later Raytheon as their facilities manager. He retired after 27 years in 2007 but continued to manager two other buildings until his full retirement in 2012.
He loved his wife Shirley, designing and building, watching movies, kayaking, RVing, food, children, yard sales and passing on his vast knowledge of anything construction. He was an all or nothing type of guy with a huge heart. He will be missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Sons of Norway in Poulsbo, Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016 from 2 to 5. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Morrow Manor in care of the Poulsbo Rotary or Holly Ridge.
