Stephen Martin

Mr. Stephen F. Martin died of natural causes on October 6, 2001 in Port Orchard, Washington.Mr. Martin was born on February 27, 1911 in Bessemer, Michigan to John and Anna (Hourvat) Martin. Stephen attended high school in Detroit, Michigan and attended the University of Detroit.He later married Gail V. Tallman. She preceded him in death in 1983.Mr. Martin worked as a Tool & Die Engineer for Boeing Corporation for fifteen years. He enjoyed golfing and was an inventor.Stephen is survived by sons, Bruce of Mesa, Arizona; Craig, of Allyn, Washington; Steven of Louisville, Kentucky; daughter, Mick Flones of Michigan; Holly Burtt of Burlington, Washington; sisters, Rose Boynton of Bloomington, Michigan; Annie Kaizer, of Florida; fourteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sisters Elizabeth Kaisinger and Mary Uhler.Services for Mr. Martin will be held at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard, on Friday, October 12, 2001 at 1:00 p.m.. Pastor David Daroff will be officiating. A reception will follow at the chapel.Arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home.
