Sterling P. Cole, 76, died at his home in Port Orchard, Washington on January 6, 2007. He was born on March 22, 1930 in Hope, North Dakota to Fredrick and Cynthia (Baker) Cole. He married Lois A. Horner on August 6, 1949 in Page, North Dakota. Sterling worked as a Rigger in Shop 72 at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington for over 36 years, reitirng in 1986. He liked to to hunt, fish, and camp. Sterling enjoyed his family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends. Surviving are his wife Lois; sons Dan and Terry Cole of Port Orchard; daughters Susan (Larry) Bateman of Kennewick, Washington, Cindy (Mike) Clements of Michigan, and Mindy (Johnny) Warren of Port Orchard; brothers Warren (Joyce) Cole of Hope, North Dakota and Dub (Joyce) Cole of Grand Prairie, Texas; sisters LeNora McCullough and LeMay Lemley, both of Hope, North Dakota; grandchildren Byron, Misty, Donny, Kristy, Lee, Casey, Kyle, Ashley, Shayna, Alexandra; step-grandchildren Danielle, Sarah, Janna; great-grandchildren Miranda, Tony, Mia, Cassidy, Cody, Breanne, Kiley, Cody, Jacob, Keirra; and extended family June & Vernon Nolting, and brother-in-law Chuck Siems. He was preceded in death by brothers - Rueben, William, and Richard Cole. Services are pending.
