Susan Caley

Susan E. Caley, 65, died at her home in Port Orchard, Washington on December 27, 2005. She was born in Portland Oregon on December 29, 1939 to Ethan & Elizabeth (Rafter) Allen. She graduated from Holy Names Academy in Seattle, Washington in 1957 and attended Seattle University. Susan married Rock E. Caley on September 5, 1959 in Seattle. Susan was a homemaker and the former owner/operator of Mt. Spokane Ski Area with her husband Rock. She was an accomplished skier who was delighted to have spent 66 days on the ski slopes in 2004 - 2005 in Oregon, Colorado, California, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming. She especially loved sking with her husband, children, grandchildren, & friends, and entertaining family & friends at their beach house in Port Orchard. She was a member of St. Gabriel Parish in Port Orchard and St. Vincent de Paul Society. Surviving are daughters Shannon Mary (Howard) Sand of Mercer Island, Washington, Storm Elizabeth (Scott) Janaszak of Port Orchard, Stacey Ann (Greg) Lueke of Salt Lake City, Utah, Jennifer Allen Caley of Mercer Island, and Patricia Ann Caley of California; sons Kevin and Logan Caley of Port Orchard; brother Ethan (Stevi) Allen of Spokane, Washington; sisters Pamel A. Allen of Port Orchard and Judith (Jim) Otto of Palm Desert, California; grandchildren Daly, Cara, Mary Ellen, Clare, Michael, Jack, Grey, Grace, Melissa, Melenie, Storm, Vail, and Angel; and many special family and friends. Memorial service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, December 30, 2005 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard. Memorial donations may be made to St. Gabriel Parish, Ark of the Covenant Fund, 1150 Mitchell Avenue, Port Orchard, WA 98366.
