Susan Jane Miller

Susan Jane Miller, 76, passed away on March 26, 2024 with her family by her side. She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Susan was born in Longview, Washington and moved to Port Orchard, Washington where she spent her early years through high school. She graduated from Central Washington University in Ellensburg. After college she met Ralph Miller on a blind date and their courtship led to marriage in 1970.They started a family in Kirkland and returned to Port Orchard to be closer to family. She raised her 3 sons amongst her large extended family and was actively involved in her their sporting events and as part of the community,

Susan was a devoted mother and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, sharing stories, playing games, and watching her favorite TV shows. She was always there to offer an opinion, give support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced.

In her free time, Susan actively enjoyed cooking, painting, knitting, skiing, golfing, travel, and spending time with friends. She was an active member of the orthopedic guild.

Susan is preceded in death by her loving husband Ralph Miller, parents Ernie and Sally Bloomquist, Brother Bill Bloomquist, and granddaughter Marina Miller. She is survived by her Sister Kathy Holt. Children, Eric Miller (granddaughters Kylie Miller and Peyton Miller), David Miller (granddaughter Makena Miller), and Bryan Miller.

A funeral service will be held at Rill Chapel Saturday April 6th at 11:00 am for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Marina’s Passion in Giving (P.I.G) fund at:
