Sylvan Meier

Sylvan Peter Meier, 94 of Port Orchard died August 7, 2008.  He was born March 30, 1914 in Deerlodge, Montana to Paul & Odile (Marcotte) Meier.  He married Leonella Launderville who preceded him in death in 1989. Sylvan worked as a Shipfitter at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, retiring in 1974.  He loved to collect coins, garden, and watch CNN. Surviving are son Harry Meier of Port Orchard; grandchildren Laurie Myers, Lynda Owens, Robert Meier & Loni Gamble, all of Port Orchard, and Lisa Hatten of Seattle; great-grandchildren Ryan Myers, Michelle Mickelson, Terese Chaput, Brian Mickelson & Cody Meier. There will be no services at Sylvan's request.
