Thelma Pearl Gorden

Thelma Pearl Gorden, 95, a resident of Port Orchard, died Tuesday, September 18, 2012 of natural causes in her home. She was born November 15, 1916 in Chatham, Ontario, CAN to Alfred and Alice Whatford, she was the last of four children. She was preceded in death by her husband Homer Gorden and three sisters.
She moved to California in the early 50’s with her husband and two daughters and to Port Orchard in 2006. She retired from CA State Department of Employment. She liked to travel, play golf, do needle work and play bridge.
She is survived by her two daughters Linda Reese (Jerry) of Novato, CA and Carol Johnson of Port Orchard; four grandchildren Chris, Dale, Shelley and Eric; seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Committal service will be Monday, October 8, 2012, 3:00 pm at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard. Reception for Pearl will be Sunday, October 7, 2012, 3:00 pm at Park Vista Retirement Community on Lund Ave in Port Orchard. Online guest book is at www.rill.com
