Theodore Shiner

December 10, 1969 — June 6, 2012

Theodore Woodrow Shiner, III, 42, a resident of Port Orchard, died June 6, 2012 due to complications of an injury sustained in a fire in his childhood. He was born December 10, 1969 in Oakes, North Dakota to Theodore W. Shiner, Jr. and Elaine J. (Cassell) Shiner. He attended Highline HS in Burien and graduated from South Kitsap HS in 1988. He took courses in Harding University as well. He was a member of Port Orchard Church of Christ. Ted played trumpet for the Farragut Brass even with greatly diminished lung capacity.  He is survived by his mother Elaine; brother Tim Shiner (Jasmine Sinnett); sister Amanda Shiner (Paul Bostwick); nieces Chloe and Jadyn, Katy Porter and Rose Sharp; nephews Nick Porter and Matthew Shiner; special friends Melvin and Barbara Byrd family, Jon and Maria and family, Chad and Melia McNatt family and Becky Byrd. He was preceded in death by sister Katie. Viewing will be Saturday, June 16th from 1:00 to 2:00 pm with Celebration of Life immediately following at Port Orchard Church of Christ at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Knights of Pythias Cemetery at 3:30 pm.
