Theodore Sladek

Theodore R. Sladek, 93, died on September 21, 1998 at Shelton, Washington.  He was born on November 21, 1904 in Tacoma and married Lotta Mae Young on June 16, 1928.  Lotta predeceased Theodore in 1984.  He worked as a Leading Man Welder for the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard retiring in 1961.  Theodore was a member of National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) and AARP, and enjoyed traveling and dining with friends.  He is survived by son Theodore R. Sladek of Tacoma; daughters Barbara L. Parker of Deer Park and Patricia L. Hougen of Spokane; sister Thelma Caldwell of Hoquiam; ex-wife and special friend, Connie Tallbatt Sladek of Shelton; 12 Grandchildren; and 14 Great-Grandchildren.  Services will be held on Saturday, October 3, 1998 at 1:00 PM at Rill Chapel, 1151 Mitchell Avenue in Port Orchard.
