Thoedore Tripp

July 4, 1928 — May 27, 2010

Theodore ‘Jack’ Tripp, 81, a resident of Port Orchard, died May 27th of natural causes. He was born July 4, 1928 in Nashville, Georgia to Theodore E. and Margaret L. (Estes) Tripp.  He married Madeleine Brown October 16, 1949 in Jacksonville, FA; she preceded him in death in 2002.  Jack served 20 years in the United States Air Force working as a Weapons Specialist and Air Crew Tail Gunner and attained a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice through the University of Maryland overseas program prior to his retirement in 1966. He also worked for AAFES as a Service Station Manager retiring again after 12 years. He was a private pilot and enjoyed restoring old aircraft. He was also a member of AARP.  He is survived by sons Ted Tripp (Cindy) of CA and Mike Tripp of Port Orchard; daughter Jacqueline Ahmann of Vancouver, WA; brother James R. Tripp (Helen) of AL; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Sally Hodges.  Celebration of Life will be Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Rill Chapel.
